Mr. Ahmed Helal Al-Mohannadi
Ahmad Helal Al-Mohannadi is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of QatarEnergy LNG, the largest LNG producer in the world with annual production capacity of 77 million tonnes per annum.
He is currently overseeing the expansion of Qatar’s LNG production to 142 million tonnes per annum. This massive undertaking includes eight new mega LNG trains, 18 offshore wellhead platforms, 180 development wells, and a fleet of 128 new vessels. Once complete, the project is set to become the world’s largest and most competitive LNG development to date.
During his professional career, Ahmad held various technical and leadership positions within QatarEnergy LNG, including Chief Operations Officer beginning in 2014. He also led the Qatargas operations integration following the company’s merger with RasGas. Overall, Ahmad has more than 25 years of experience in LNG operations, engineering and business support services.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Qatar University.
